Pinup Playshop
Be the star of your own pinup fantasy just in time for Valentine’s Day!
This females-only event offers you a chance to become the pinup girl of your (and everyone else’s) dreams. Playshop participants will walk away with an understanding of pinup hair, makeup, and wardrobe styling, tips for taking fabulous portraits, and a photo CD for online use. Before Valentine’s Day, pinups will also receive one 8 x 10 glossy full-color photo and twelve 4 x 6 photos to share. Additional prints and Photoshop retouching will be available for a separate fee.

· Photography to be provided by HEATHER WAKEFIELD of the Sassy Girls Art Club. Heather will offer guidance on how to find your best lighting, choosing poses to accentuate your assets, and which expressions and angles best highlight your individual hotness. Heather has been taking pictures and making images for more than 20 years. Her work emphasizes connection, caring, community, and creativity. Hez says: “It’s my joy to document life’s stages, adventures, and action. I take a natural approach, especially in the studio, so that people feel at ease and we get great shots. When everyone’s relaxed and having fun, the magic happens.”
· Pinup hairstyle mini-lesson and individual consultations/assistance to be provided by EVA GANGALE of STRUCTURE SALON, Petaluma. Eva began her career in 2003 at an award-winning salon. There she apprenticed under several master stylists, each with their own unique approach, and this gave her a well-rounded foundation. Always evolving as a hairdresser, Eva looks forwards and backwards for inspiration. Constantly reading fashion blogs and magazines for the looks of now and next season, she is also inspired by vintage fashion as well as classic films. Eva doesn’t subscribe to any single school of thought on hairdressing. Instead, she has created her own philosophy: “Break rules if you know why you’re breaking them.”
· Pinup makeup mini-lesson and individual consultations/assistance to be provided by a SAVAGE JENNY representative. Savage Jenny is the only high-glam, ultra-sparkly, and color-saturated natural cosmetic line. Formulated by an herbalist and performer who needed gorgeous makeup for the stage, the Savage Jenny company is committed to providing a green and glamorous alternative for all savvy fashionistas addicted to glam.
· Production assistance to be provided by local showgirl EVA D’LUSCIOUS. A little bit sugar and a whole lotta spice, Eva D’s performances celebrate the strength, power, and sexiness of women who love themselves. She enjoys folding her varied dance studies in samba, Middle Eastern, African, flamenco, jazz, classical ballet, and tap into her burlesque performances. Eva D’Luscious performs solo and with her troupe, VERSES OF SEDUCTION, around the San Francisco Bay Area, and co-produces CABARET DE CALIENTE, a monthly dance and circus arts variety show inspired by historic vaudeville and burlesque.
